Time for another one of my WONDERFUL rants!! -booing in the background- Yesterday, Toronto, the GTA, and many other cities in Ontario were hit by the worst storm I've ever witnessed. Snow was flying almost horizontally, and visibility was terrible. This was followed by a torrent of freezing rain, which pretty much compensated for the lack of snow this winter. So this morning, it was raining lightly and the EVIL schools decided to stay open. Unfortunately for me, I was one of the kids that had to go to school today. And then, after first period, they told us to just go home, if we wanted to. Obviously, everyone went home, and my friend and I were stuck walking home. I swear to God, it was the worst trip home I have ever had and will ever had, because global warming will eliminate winter eventually. And, I'll save the global warming rant for later, 'cause I probably won't be able to fit it in this journal. XD Well anyways, back to my story, when we got outside, all we saw were puddles, ice, and snow; there was no dry pavement to walk on. So, for about 40 minutes, my friend and I walked through HUGE puddles of water, soaking our feet. It was EVER so fun! (If you really can't tell, I was being sarcastic.. And now, I am sitting here, drying my feet off and hoping I don't get trench foot. XD And I'm also upset about the great shots I missed on the way home... The trees had ice on them due to the freezing rain, and they were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. And the way the ice glinted in the sun... -sigh- But while I was walking home, the sun was out, and it was melting the ice rapidly. (Just like how the glaciers and ice sheets in the North and South Poles are melting because of global warming!) So I missed a lot of pretty shots...Well, that's the end of my story. Back to procrastinating!!
